How to disable mods.. Ya I know...

Im having a weird issue, I havent play x4 in a minute, im running mods on steam and vortex, I unsubbed from mods in Steam, and even deleted all mods in the extensions folder, yet after restart steam the mods are resubbing, is there a folder im missing?

In the ingame Extensions menu there is an option to block downloads from the workshop.

X4 has the weird habbit of re-downloading un-subscribed Steammods until the download is disabled and even then there can be dead ends in your modfolder.

for save Modremoval,
Launch the game and disable Steam-downloads via Extensions.
Open Steamworkshop and remove all subscribed mods,
open X4-extension Folder in /Steam/steamapps/commom/X4 and remove everything ECCEPT those marked as DLC (if you have some).
Launch the game and check again.

Usually Steammods are stored in Steam/steamapps/workshop/content.
X4 Stores Steam-mods in its own gamefolder and has the re-download option ingame...

Ive never needed / wanted this Option but run into this "problem" before so id say its causing more Harm then good, but Ego is doing things their way even if it means re-inventing the wheel and forgetting the Spokes...

Thanks this was so irritating, I was convinced there was a secret folder somewhere I was missing. Seriously thanks wasted my whole Saturday on this.
