Fleet not fast travelling?

When we have ships within fleets, they no longer use, higway, and not even fast travel. Is it me or its intended that way, please?

They do use travel mode (with occasional problems), but the highway part is really a pain.

If you select all the ships in the fleet with [Shift]+click and give the whole group a travel order, they do it normally.

Yes, the game has A LOT of room for improvement in this department.

However, if the commanding ship has docking facilities (e.g. all L and XL ships), you can avoid these issues by simply telling the subordinates to dock before ordering the move.

I'm not yet at the "carrier" step tbh - even pretty far :-)
