Military License
Hi. I’m level +11 with the Teladi but when I go to their hq and talk with the rep he only offers me sone trade license at 16million. How do I get the military license so I can buy that small fighter. Thnks.

The Ministry of Finance are the police faction of the Teladi. They also sell the police license. The police license doesn't actually grant access to any ships.

The military license is usually awarded with your promotion rank. This allows you full access to a faction's S/M ships and weapons.

I got promoted. Received a message when I got to level 10 to go and meet the rep, which I did. But I still haven’t got this military license.

Did you meet the faction rep or the trade rep? A huge issue with the Teladi promotion since 1.0 is that as soon as you arrive on the station the Trade Guild rep calls you and your mission gets overwrote with the mission to go see them. So if you follow the mission guidance you actually meet the Trade rep.

I'm not sure? But you might have the wrong faction? You need the Teladi rep and not the Ministry of Finance rep? I might be wrong though?

Have you tried to buy a military ship since you were promoted? I got mil license with ANT and one of the Paranid factions, you don’t buy it, they just give it to you. There’s no notification or anything. You get promoted and you have it.

No the faction rep is the one who sells the Trade License. That rep doesn't have a promotion ceremony for you?
What about under your faction status for Teladi, does it show you having the license?

i checked that thnks. Yes the faction status says I have the military license but when I got to the Teladi wharf I still cant buy the ship because it says in red that I need the military license.....

What sector is the wharf located in that you are trying to buy from?

So I booted up a fresh save with +10 TEL and 0 MIN reputation and I'm able to purchase the TEL military ships with no issue. I suspect you're looking at the MIN military vessels.

TEL has the Vanguard variants while MIN has the Sentinel variants.

OH FFS, sorry, Im a complete noob. I just seen the Teladi bit, not the MIN bit its a MIN Teladi warf......sorry to waste all your times. :(

Nah no big deal. There's a lot of confusing things in the game. Now you know for future reference :D
