Issues with Young Gun start

Just started a new game as Young Gun and when I find the thing I need to scan to start the mission I talk to the Boron then he says he has to go and he doesn't give me a quest?

If I remember you have to wait till he gets back to you.

How long do I wait though? I thought I talk to him straight away then I have to dock at the station and find the thing on the floor?

No, if you have the Kingdom End DLC, you do not play through a questline anymore to get the HQ. Just go to Heretics End, Boso Ta will jump with the HQ. Dock and talk to Boso to claim the HQ.

That' kind of messed up. I haven't played in a little over a year and I was wanting to play the whole story line. Well, now I guess I need to head over and find Boso.

Well, if you just started, you can go into the Extensions menu, disable the Boron DLC, and start your Young Gun again. Once the quest finishes, re-enable the DLC.

(I expect a lot of Achievement Hunters are going to want to do that over the coming years.)
