I got a lot of credits after herald missions so hey, I think thats totally fine.
Allows me to invest in what I want instead of some random ship I might or might not use
I approve of the Syn only because it was supposed to be junked (for whatever reason, it appeared to be perfectly fine). Personally I like "world building" missions and enjoyed the mission style for Kingdom's End. I very much liked having actually directly *affected* part of the universe.
Terrans: We need you to build a station and buy a fully kitted out ship. So if you could get on that, it would be great. Oh money? Uuhm, well .. don't worry about it we're good for it. It's for the cause you know.
I feel the Terrain story if it's a TV series or a book, would pan out at least several year or even a decade. Your rise from a cadet/merc to a deep operative agent, to earning the trust of the Yaki is no way a mere 2h journey.
- You probably fought a ton of battle against Xenon over years and rose to a captain/major before secret service notice you.
- You probably spent the next few years investigating and unconvering the Yaki's infiltration of the Pioneer government.
- Then spent years following that trace, exploring Xenon space to find the Yaki's base.
- Then probably spent another few years as a deep operative to earn the Yaki's trust until you learn about their secret.
So by the time you report back to the Terran space, that report could very well be your "life's work", that has a momenteous impact on Terran security. With many of those years spent working on the dark yet still remain loyal to Terran interest.
So yeah, a "wash up Syn" might be still a bit unusual, but hardly outrageous reward. The problem is the game pacing doesn't fit any of that.
Like everything points to the SYN being in good condition.
Even the lore on the Ship say it operating side by side with the Osaka and isn’t really being shelved like the other ATF ships
With the Kingsdom's End DLC, I also feel like there's still something left to be done. Feels very much 'The Boron are here!' and that's it. I'm pretty much encouraging them to fight the Zyarth in Heretic's End (took over but abandoned Watchful Gaze so they have something to do. I likely will abandon Heretic's End as well at some point, if only to encourage action there :P
They take over Watchful Gaze on their own, you don't need to claim that sector.
For heretic's end, that will work.
