There is a better way to get a station module blueprint from hacking than scanning random data leaks you may find on a station. not only because you need to find the leak to begin with and then hope that it's a blueprint but also because it has to be on the right module too.
So what you really want to do is to use your spacesuit, fly up to the module from where you want the blueprint from and then use an EMP bomb to generate several data leaks on that station module. which saves you time because you don't need to hunt for a data leak that's in the right place because they got generated in the right place. it also happens to be the case that those leaks will have the blueprint. at least for most modules. only exception being the build modules.
as for scanning from your ship: well, i never tried that because i was already there in a space suit after i made my own data leaks to scan. so i wouldn't know the answer but i have a feeling that the answer is probably no.
I suspect you are correct, though, as I've not gotten any blueprints with the ship. Just curious about the game mechanic.
Secure Containers can also be bought from Traders, but are few and far between.
Remote Detonators can be bought from Pirate traders (and I think from Black Market traders, but I'm not sure on that one).
All this stuff can be picked up randomly during battles, in dropped crates.
Unless you've researched blueprint hacks at the Player Headquarters, blueprints from EMPs is still random.
thanks for this suggestion - it's much less frustrating than RNG roulette station hopping or hanging out in battlefields
