But, in your situation, you can use "repeat orders" in its place (if your captain is not 1-star, you can buy a seminar in any station and use it to train him).
If you want specific trade between these two stations (or more) you can use the repeat order behaviour. Once you set the behaviour you can (with your trading ship selected) RMB on the Refinery and select trade With. The next window allows you to define how much you want to fill cargo (for only one ware runs set to max) and the maximum buying price, then confirm the order.
Next RMB on the Hull Parts factory and do the same but set how much the ship should retain (unless you want to spread the sell set to none) and the minimum price it should sell the ware for. After conforming your ship will go back and forth for all eternity.
Should there not be any trades that fit the settings it will just skip them on loop until the settings fit again.

In my experience it's much better to set up a repeat function as Conrado says. Designating where to go to buy and sell.

When you setup repeating trade orders make sure you pay attention to the quantity and pricing you set as that can sometimes tie them up waiting for an order that falls within your parameters.
No, because in X4 I never use autotraders.
It is far, far better to set up a trade station. This is very cheap to do, all you need is a dock and some container storage on top of your freighter. The big advantages of doing this are:
1. Since you can easily install a 2* manager from the get go your traders will operate in a two sector radius immediately.
2. Trade station managers level up very fast so you will get to a four sector radius of operations quickly and a full five sectors not too long after that.
3. You can be much more specific about exactly what prices you want to buy and sell at for each ware you want to trade in.
4. As your manager levels up and more and more customers come within range you can just add more freighters and all of them can be managed together under one station account/configuration.
You get all this for the entry level price of a dock and small container storage module, which is roughly speaking about the same price as one M class freighter. It's a no brainer.
Give us a few more details about your predicament and we may be able to suggest a solution for you.
