Report a translation problem
If you scan enough of the station (I don't know the %), you can open its logical overview and check the production info, including how much time until the current production cycle finishes. Then, be quick!, or pause the game to give orders.
Probably some npc ship has already made a purchase and the station's stock is reserved for it.
They do; if you manage to buy the items immediately after the production cycle ends, the station will hold the inventory until your ship arrives. But it's tricky to do so with a ware in such high demand, that why I said to pause the game while you order your purchase.
Most of the time it requires getting into your spacesuit as many of the defense modules / turrets are hardened and need the stronger scanner. Scanning to 100% doesn't actually provide any benefits though.
Ohhhh, I didn't realize that hard points had to be scanned separately. Good that it doesn't really matter. Thank you!
