Where do wares go that you let other ships collect?
Haven't played awhile and never got to upgrading ships;

I understand you need to collect parts (boxes) that are left after a battle. In my inventory I now have things like "interface unit" and "tuning software.

I have three questions:

1. If I don't fly the plane myself but am aboard the ship, do I still get the boxes the ship collects in my inventory or does the captain/ship have an inventory for that?
2. If I have a ship collect it, where I'm not aboard, where do the items go in that case?
3. Where do I tune ships / see what I need for upgrading a ship?

Thank you very much in advance for any help :)

The pilot should have the items in their inventory. You can check which ships have inventory in the map tab. There should be a filter that shows ships with inventory. To get it you can talk to that pilot face to face and have them give you the items or have them deposit the items as the PHQ.

Upgrading ships is done at the relevant ship trader. S/M at wharfs and L/XL at shipyards. When you go the ship trader on the station there should be two workbenches. One is the standard crafting bench while the other is for ship tuning / modifications.

When you're aboard the ship, click on (or comm) the captain, then select MORE, and HAND ME YOUR INVENTORY.

1. no. loot goes into the pilots inventory
2. if you setup an autocollector loot will also go to that pilot's inventory
3. go to a shipwharf. there go to ship dealer. in that area are 2 stations next to each other. one for regular crafting and the other is for ship mods.

ad2) if u wanna get the collected loot teleport to that ship (or let it land),talk to the pilot and use the option "hand me your inventory". you can also setup pilots depositing their inventory, i assume at your HQ, but i have never tried that.

How do you do that? I selected a ship that picked up crates that go to the inventory and not the ship hold, but right clicking on my HQ doesn't show me any relevant option.

Right click on the ship with the inventory items. There will be an option to "Deposit items at PHQ".

Go to the Science Lab on the PHQ, as you enter, just to the left behind Bosa Ta is a safe deposit box. Open it and your items will be in there.

Of course... why would it be an order to the ship? Or why should it be consistent with anything else the game taught you to do? Right click on the ship! That is how we give orders... except for going place... and docking... and fighting...

Thanks Peregrinus
