erlking data vaults

how do you tell if you have already cleared one? do they vanish from the map? i found one in Windfall I and some of the switches were already fixed but not all of them, i searched it over 4 times and cant find anything else.

To clear a vault you need to fix every single switch, so if you see at least one red you are not done.
Also they don´t disappear. They might change colors but i´m not sure about that. imo the best way to go about this is to clear any vaults you see asap and place nav beacons on all you cleared already.

I had to litter all 6 zones for the Avarice expansion with Adv. Sats just to find the 5 vaults for the erkling. You will know when one is finished when you opened a compartment and 2 little caches will appear with the blue circle around them. You have to run into them with your space suit and it will let you know what BP you got for the erkling.

Don't do them until you have some beacons in your cargo, then just drop a beacon when you've completed one to sort of mark it.

man i hate this. a LOT. i found the main gun, the large turret, the medium turret, and the engine. The last one is proving extra annoying.

If I am not mistaken, you can repair/build the ship and use someone else's shields. I think the shields are the only piece you don't have to have. Don't quite remember, though.

Terran shields are arguably better on Erlking but you need all the pieces to get the achievement and the unlock in Custom Budgeted that allows you to start with a fully equipped Erlking.

It's really not all that hard to find all 5. All it takes is 6 explorer ships and a willingness to sit there and stare at the screen.

The key is, when your scouts are flying around looking, to set the filter on the map to "data" or "vault". They pop right up clear as day when you do that. Immediately pause the game and have the scout that found the vault drop a satellite. That's the other thing annoying about them....they won't show up on the map without something active next to them.

Using 6 explorers and my SETA, I found them all in a little under an hour.

But if you're flying around looking for them yourself...yeah, that'll take forever.

so i thought i found my last vault i open 2 buttons on the solar panels and then 2 on the top of the vault and one inside of the vault and nothing. do they auto close all their doors after you have cleared it or what? if so...♥♥♥♥ egosoft lol.

No, they stay in the same state. I'm not sure why there's nothing in there?? Do you know which blueprint it should be?

I had the same problem - found all the vaults running the batch file on the forums (does not lead to game marked 'modified' and isn't a pure 'I win' button since the co-ordinates are not in the game UI so you just know vaguely where to look which just bypasses tedium and frustration for me)

Had to do one of the vaults in a hurry because of an SCA attack and then logged off. Now missing the erlking M turrets even though I've redone all 5 vaults and they were all empty.

i have come across 2 vault that were all closed up and when i opened all the doors there is nothing. im missing the shields.
Bigger problem, my ships wont explore the systems anymore. they go back to waiting.

Hi I have a strange issue, I'm on the M-Turret data vault (tripod) changed all 6 switches to green but no blueprint ?
the other parts I have , so is there a bug ?

or what could be wrong ?

I get gray hairs on that :D
