Missions to transport people: Can you pick up people in any ship?

As above. Iv'e seen a few missions now to transport people. Do you need special personnel transport ships (I think X2 or X3 had them) or can you pick up mission people in any ship now? Mission usually says has to be S class.

Any ship, but you need space. If you have fully crewed ship, you can't take passengers.

Any but if your not in a S class then you will hardly trigger the "Away from here"-mission type be it via mission offers or scanning. In S i see them more frequently. Might be subjective.

I think you're onto something here, I suspect the missions you're offered are somewhat calibrated to the ship you're flying at the moment.

Anyway, many of these transport missions either begin or end in a ship, e.g. a destroyer, and so flying a small ship with docking computer mk2 would be best.
