I’d really like to be able to rename my crew members

Seriously. I really don’t give a lick what their generated names are. I have almost exclusively HOP crew, and I can’t even pronounce most of their names let alone remember them. Why can’t I rename Kekametacalifragilisticexpialidocious something I can actually recognize… Like Spock? Or Goose?

Maybe send this guy a message buy him/her a coffee and ask for a simple mod to change names egosoft said they wont. :) But have talked about it for RP dudes in lots of threads. They did expand the name list at one point. Good luck.

But yeah, I suppose it would be an OK feature. Not a big deal to me, though, as I eventually learn the names of the important commanders in my fleet.

perhaps even just giving us the ability to add names to the list that names are generated from without triggering a modified, we can add logos to game by just adding the logo images to a file, having a text document for names doesnt seem that hard but im no coder, perhaps its really difficult.
or at the very least a "nickname" feature

Saw this. Didn’t want to necro the old thread. If the Steam workshop had a mod for it I’d pick it up, but I don’t typically use nexus mods.

If I had Argon or Terran or any other species with names I could remember (or pronounce) it wouldn’t be a big deal, but these Paranid names… Man.

I spend a good portion of my time as a passenger on my own Frigate (as any reasonable CEO would) and it’s friggin awesome that my Argon appointed Captain occasionally gives orders to my Paranid navigator, seriously, nice touch there, but that dude’s name is ridiculous. I feel like giving your crewmates callsigns would just make sense.

It's nice to customize player outfits and look, but custom gamestart is limited, like I like terran officer uniform, not one pilot uniform, ah well. or some prefer blue one over white one.

Yes but that author is very good, he had a discord and you can always ask if he has one laying around (mod).

His mods for a time were widely used for all mods.
