Having problem with 'Blazing Trail' Quest.

It's very, very buggy.

I've been trying, kid you not, for 3 hours to do the part that says "Place the Nav Beacons within the yellow circle depicted in your mini map"

I've been doing well every single time, but when I place the last one that connects from one portal to the other, they all stop functioning except for one.

I don't get it, and after 3 hours of trying I'm tired of it, I seriously don't want to do it, I've come to hate this quest, I ain't even being salty now, 3 hours... I'm done.

This is either a bug or the quest was made very poorly.
I'm tired, I'm going to bed.

The Nav Beacon Path has only 2 conditions.

You have to place the Beacons inside the circle of ypur last placed Beacon and it has to be within the relatively safe Asteroid trail you first used to reach the 2nd Gate.

If you place the Beacons from left to right or from right to left is not important.

Only important step is, like i already said, that you place them inside the Radius of the last one.

Judging by you description i have to assume that your last placed beacon was too far away frrom the previous, thus creating a gap in the path.

So, I took a safe route after following the red lines (Red Lines = Asteroid Belts) on the map to get from one portal to the other, and then I took the same route again when I started placing down my Nav Beacons.

I can confirm that I placed all my Nav Beacons within the yellow circles shown to me on the map and mini map.

The game would bug out after everything was going well, and the yellow circle would leave from my last placed Nav Beacon, and it would go to the very first one I placed.

I did this quest in so many ways, took so many different routes, I even placed all 15 Nav Beacons down, which are given to the player thanks to the quest, and I placed them all very close to each other, no more than 10-20 Km, and the circle was/is about 50-60 Km wide I believe.

The same would happen again, once I placed the last Nav Beacon next to the portal... boom, the yellow circle went back to the very first Nav Beacon I dropped down.

Also, I don't know if this is of any importance, the yellow circles after they bug out, at least that's when I noticed it, they have a yellow line attached to me.

So... the problem solved it self?

I'm not sure what happened.

After trying this morning to do the Quest and failing at least three times, on the fourth time, just when I thought I failed... I did it?

Here's what happened... I placed down ten Nav Beacons, the quest refused to complete, so I went to pick up my Nav Beacons and try again, after picking up two Nav Beacons, the quest suddenly got completed.

I honestly don't know what happened.

If you still have a save game from when you thought you'd done everything correctly, but the mission wouldn't complete, we'd like to take a look to get to the root of the problem. Could you perhaps upload it and link it in a new topic in the official Technical Support forum on the Egosoft website?

Ah...! I am sorry mate.

My last save file is of 17:20 today, hours after I did that quest.
