Ship stuck

Is there anyway to unstick ships from each other? A police cruiser scanned my L Freighter now the little guy is stuck inside my freighter and dragging it to dark empty space at a snails pace. I tried piloting it but even I can't do anything either.

Have you tried leaving the sector your freighter is in? As in, get on a fighter and leave the sector and let the ships fix themselves while you're not around.

Sometimes going OOS can fix collision issues.

You can also try targeting an object that is over 100km away, push F3 to view it, wait 30 seconds and often your ship works its way free (as your ship then is considered OOS...out of system and thus not part of the physics anymore). Another option is to let your co-pilot take over as for some reason they are often able to get your ship unstuck.

There should be a mod to reduce the moral of my crew each time i cowardly teleport out of a stuck ship or out of a tough fight 😅

I don't want to keep making new threads so going to add one more thing here instead. I'm also occasionally having a problem where when I shoot the pew pew doesn't go where my marker is it shoots far right instead of straight. Any fix?

Also, yeah leaving the sector fixed the main issue so thats good to know.

It really helped. But will it help if for some reason a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fighter is stuck inside the ship and just pushes a multi-ton ship with itself?

@Panther yeah, that fixed it for me a little police cruiser was dragging my Large freighter across the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sector. Me leaving the sector fixed it. Its a pain because it happens all the time even when I'm piloting I can get stuck in a ships gravitational well and I have to just wait it out.
