Where do I start the quest everyone is complaning about?

Hello,

I am completely lost with the boron dlc, since I am unable to get through the sector between the boron areas, but I am also lacking the quest to place thos beacons there - effectively locking me to 3 sectors of the DLC.

can someone tell me where the mission comes from, since there is pretty much zero information on the internet and the game (as always) does an extremely bad job at giving a red line.

Check your messages/email in game. You have to talk to the Paranid scientist to start the chain. You can do it from a fresh start or existing save.

The mission some people are having problems with is a bit further into the chain.

After arriving in the Boron sectors you have to meet with the representative on a ship.
You then need to convince him to let you continue the expedition.
After that you should get a S Boron ship and be directed to Sanctuary of Darkness.
You go investigate the gate then you should get the quest to place the beacons.

Thanks for the replies, but I still dont get what I am supposed to do.

I have two missions:

1: Free the Boron scientist (but it doesnt tell me where to go, or anything when set to active)
2: Help the Borons (that one is pretty clear)

I even went onto the expedition ship and talked to the paranid dude... all he says is some default text.

Did something "bug out"?

Oh, wtf... the quest meant "Boso Ta", which I didnt yet free... the game really could be somewhat more precise about "who" is meant. (or, at least tell me which quest is missing.)

TL:DR freeing boso-ta is needed for boron-quest.
