Repeat Orders Trading to Rank 20 Reputation with Other Factions

I saw a recent YouTube video explaining that 1 sale (regardless of amount traded) gives the exact same reputation gain as if the player had sold a full freighter worth of wares at once.

So, I've been thinking ...

Will setting a very cheap ship like the Elite Vanguard to trade 1 Energy Cell to each faction's Shipyards, Wharves, and Equipment Docks on Repeat Orders get the player to Reputation Rank 20 fast without long term cost to the player if the player has built his or her own Solar Farm station?

How about setting up a Mineral Miner to mine Ore (so it's fast and always in demand), then sell 1 Ore at a time to the same station. Would it work better? It sounds like a lot of pain to set up but I can see it being possible: Add a new Sell Order to the same station, keep all wares but 1 to sell, then repeat. I wonder if the miner would undock and dock right back at the same station in between its sell orders ...

I understand that playing Missions is the fastest to gain Reputation but the idea of lazy repeat order trading for Reputation gain still sounds very interesting and useful especially when you want to keep the game on AFK while doing IRL stuffs.

From experience, I suspect that the rep gained from trade also depends on the value of the ware and the "level of necessity" of the buyer. So, maybe your proposed method would work better with silicon instead of ore and something like adv electronics instead of energy cells.

It works, I've done it with a bunch of fighters flying to and from the VIG with 1 hull part bought from nearby sold to their shipyards. It's a bit exploity and it should probably be nerfed somehow, but there are a fair few other things that are kind of like that too. But you can moderate yourself as you wish or not at all. I chose this with the VIG because I wanted to get the barbarossa blueprint (and grab the others too) before I get into a big war with them eventually.

What would be the point? Unlocks from 20 rep require more money from 10 rep which require more money than normal rep. What's the goal after hitting rep 20? If you got there naturally then you'd have money saved up and you might be able to purchase something you were eyeing but if you got there with that method then you would have less money to buy with.

Some war mission require you to lose rep with with the opposing factions. Now that isn't a big deal when you already have a fleet of fully upgraded Asgards and Syns, but if you are still trying to get there and want the exceptional mats to mod your fleet then you need a way to offset the rep losses.

Rep is also very important if you want to burn it for certain galactic changes, like destroying afew defense stations so a sector can flip to another faction so they may not be boxed in, things like that.
i usually never have my rep capped since once i get to around 27-29 i start blowing stuff up that i want cleared, or capturing.
One of the fastest way i gain rep is just parking myself in my erlking next to a border station for the faction i want to gain rep with well doing all my empire management, xenon come through, all die, passively gain rep well im there, but its limited in where i can do this.
