Manufacture ships in your own factories and sell them to factions who are at war.

Do warring factions guild missions to assemble fleets with ships built by you. Otherwise build fully outfitted raptors and sell to the highest bidding shipyard.
Best advice is that you don't have to make those fleets combat-ready (unless you get specific instructions for equipment). When they ask for small and medium ships - sell split ships with mass drivers mk2 and split mk4 engines.

A factory that only buys mined resources and makes all wares needed to supply 8x Hull Parts Productions, 8x Claytronics Production, and 8x Advanced Electronics production will over 27 million credits an hour. It'll also costs over 200 million to build. On the other hand, I have two fighters with repeat orders collects drops in war zones and deposit their inventory into the HQ. Selling what the drop off once an hour brings in about 6 million an hour. If I had more doing I would make more. So use that to gradually build up a self sufficient station or 10 and do the war missions the ask you to build ships and stations for the factions.

You will rich in time but there no magic bullet because even if build a large station it take time to build (My HQ took a little over five days to complete from a saved design. More than 120 hours of play time.)

If you build lots of small stations in parallel then you buy the ships to haul the wares between them and which means many times the ships needed to supply a large station.

My rule of thumb is that if I lose a ship in combat before your net worth is over 100 million I consider it a set back. After that it is annoying buy shouldn't more that an hour of two before can afford a new one.

So my best advice is always be working on ways to increase your passive income as you do missions or plots. Find a play style that you enjoy and stick to it while you always take steps to building wealth. If you do that then the longer you play the bigger your steps will become. Once you can open a Wharf the money starts flowing.

After a while you will realize that there are problems in the game that money can't solve.

Yoho YoHooo its a Pirates life for me *sing

Grab a decent Fighter, buy a cheap transportship with lots of crewstorage, fill it with marines, go out pirate things.
In Heretics end i recently got 2 PAR +1 SPL constructionships passing thru..... 20 mil each.
Also Hatikvas choice, great to hunt some SPL L Trader/Miner...

Doesnt beat stations in the long run but if you want some quick cash or just some Piratefun..... totally worth it

Build factories to sell wares. Develop gradually from the refinery, high tech, up to ships building. Pay attentions to supply and demands. Terran's computronics substrate might be a great cash cow. At least in my save games.

There are missions marked with two parallel arrows. Most of these are miner escorts. You'll need a corvette for them like the Nemesis or Katana. Pick up and sell the remains of space battles to get money for a corvette. Miner escorts are imo the most efficient way to make money in the beginning.

Build a shipyard with no station defense, let everyone buy ships. There will be destroyers blown up just after undocking lmao and they will buy them again and again and again.

I've unified the paranid and they are at war with everyone. The split are at war with pretty much everyone? They all buy ships from me and fight as soon as they undock. Have one of your ships collect drops on repeat orders as these will be littered all around your station and your station is tough enough without any defense to cope. If you put defenses and fleets on your stations you will find yourself at war with at least one faction through error.

Right now I have 4 big shipyards, 12 billion in spare cash and the vast majority of that is from my shipyards and it doesn't take long once they are built.

loads of way's but what I found the easiest when starting out is gate camping and picking up loot.
If you have several going (automated) and go off doing quests the millions start rolling in.

I have come to realize that in the early game, boarding may be the best way to make a fortune. You can conduct multiple boards at the same time with the same ship, and also multiple boards with different ships at the same time. So if you have three ships, each doing three simultaneous boards you can net nine ships. If this is a "drive-by" boarding operation (assumed if you are doing this many), then you will have nine undamaged ships in about twenty minutes; if each ship is worth 10M, then you get 90M credits for 20 minutes of waiting, with additional time to set up each board and launch pods. In a rich environment of fleets or large miners, this is possible. I usually do two ships, two boards each for four ships boarded. I just grabbed four Barbarossa's this way; Helios E's in Holy Vision are another easy grab, as are Okinawa's in Terran space.

There passive and then active

Scavenging, Mining, and Trading is passive income I let the AI handle

Then I do boarding and trading as my active income

Boarding/pirating allow me to get ships and free cash
Trading allow me to get big amount of cash for little amount spent by exploiting discount as commission

A side benefit to trading is having tons of missions show up that can choose which one I want to do

I find a good way to earn fast is to see what a area is lacking in a lot. If there is a E cell Deficit in 3 sectors next to each other do that.. Some food and Medical supplies are sadly lacking in a lot of sectors. Especially scruffin fruit.

I lucked out and had all those second contact sectors be way low on Graphine. built a 2x fab there. Make bank. then you can have a whole bunch of ore miners operating in Second contact.

Advanced electronics is a good way when Warf and Ship yard is stocked with other things.

War missions, boarding, selling the ships you've made using your own materials.

one very easy way is to buy the maximum of advanced satelites from equipment docks at the lowest price (46-52K) and then go sell it all to wharfs when price is at least 70K.

You start doing this even with small cargo ships, then when money builds up, sell your ship and get a bigger cargo, buy/sell get a bigger cargo ship, ....

Within 60 minutes, you will have made at least 1,000,000 credits (haven't done it in a while so I don't quite remember how much you can earn in 60 min).

I consider this way to be the easiest and fastest right from the start. Its not cheating. You are just doing business.
