You can't map Fire on left or right click for whatever stupid reason lol
Yeah i have no freaking idea why they did this it feels horrible...
LButton::p
you can replace "p" with whatever key you set "fire primary weapon" to in-game
make sure you endtask it in task manager when you are out of the game
egosoft you there? hello? lol
Now with shooting on your LMB im pretty sure your going to shoot everytime you klick LMB.
In any other screen unless paused, dont you?
Games fixed that like 20+ years ago by dissabling manual shooting while you have a menu open....
Imagen if in any game where you can shoot something anything and you would shoot everytime when you click arround in your backpack to move stuff or clicking on talents/skills/abilities to put points in them or anything similar.
I've just got used to using the space bar now.
That's a nice fix!
When I first started, I almost quit because of this. Like you said, it's a sin against gaming.
However, you can map fire weapon to the right mouse button, but you need to change the context menue to double click.
You get used to it pretty fast, because you need the left mouse button often to lock targets.
And speaking of remapping: Change these pinky breaking commands for Travel, Scan and Longrange to 1, 2, 3. It's probably the most used button so why would anyone have them on a ctrl+[x] button?
Same goes for strafing. With fire on the RMB your spacebar is free to map it to strafe upwards, V or C to strafe down. It's okay. Operation Flashpoint had these there as well, if I remember correctly :)
Those side mouse button aren’t that hard to reach with your thumb if you have them
