Faction paint mods missing.

I got to reputation +27 with the Argon and Yaki and supposedly I can now use their paint job for my ships now but they're not in my list. All I have are the standard basic ones, and the odd one like Vindicator or Company Skin you get from missions.

Do I need to activate something to get these in my list or is it bugged out at the moment?

Dunno if it's the case, but it could be some fractional rounding thing. Like your rep is 26.7 and it shows as 27. I checked just now and I have the ones from Terran/Pioneers ok (+30), and I have the ones from Teladi at +28 (Company Skin). I don't believe you have to do anything special to activate it. I'd say if it goes up to +28 and nothing happens then I'd be a bit concerned.

It's not a paint mod like the mission rewards, old venture rewards, collector's edition. It's a default skin you can choose under the faction menu.

I have a surprising lack of paints available to me even with all of the DLC. Besides a few different colours I have one with big circles and a checked one, both are horrible. Going by you-tube most opt for the X4 paint which is just a red one and nothing special.

Well most of the paints aren't provided right away regardless. You have the default 8 to choose from for all your ships, plus 1 per faction that you get above 27 rep for. (Solset, Utopia, Company Skin, etc.). Some are given by completing plot lines, like x10 for Terracotta for siding with Terrans on a certain plot. Another for siding with Antigone. I checked mine and I have 21 kicking around (couple overlapping with the default above skins for rep). Some I will never use because they are pretty ugly lol. About half I would use and about 1/4 interest me.

Thanks, but which faction? I looked at my own, where you set your default logo and paint job, but they're not there either, just the basic ones.

Do you mean I need to check it in the Yaki / Argon faction? I thought that's just info, like your current reputation and licences.

It will appear in your own list of default paint jobs when and if it unlocks.

My mistake, Federation Pendant and Violacious are indeed in my default ship paint jobs. I overlooked them because they look very much like the standard defaults.

They're a bit rubbish and I was expecting something a bit fancy after all my hard work.
