Repair Laser and L/XL Ship modules
Can you repair L/XL Ship modules like engines and turrets with the spacesuit repair laser?
I like to go Pirating and my main targets are usually large freighters and miners.
I know that you can just sell the ship just by right clicking to a shipyard with just 1 crew member as a captain. But I want to speed up the repair process just so my captured ships don't get caught while flat-footed before I could downgrade them to minimum preset.

Yes, you can, but it's (really highly) inefective. Click - select the ship, then use END keyboard key to cycle modules. Select the engine, and repair. But it's really slow as they have a good bunch of HP and the suit repair is... heh, made mostly for S ships ^^

Early on, it's a viable option.

Latter on; i suggest you to create a ~ 10 fast M ships (like dragons, for example), making them a fleet, and give them "intercept for commander" order to protect the ship you just captured during travel.

(intercept tend to be better at actually defending than "defend", as they will engage any threat at view, while "defend" wait for ennemy to hit you first, wich is a bad idea with a 20% HP, shieldless wreck :') )

Alternatively, more costly but definetly better latter on,
Buy a resupplier ship (the paranid "atlas, atlas vanguard" probably being the best in term of travel / move speed. It have a travel engine that kicks to 3850 and a normal move speed of 124m/s), itt can be acquired full fitted for a little less than 30 Millions. A must for any pirate player imo ^^

Then just use it as a mobile repair station (select the new ship, then right click on your ressuplier -> repair/refit) (don't forget to bring crew and repair drones :p)

As a bonus, while it's *not* a carrier by itself, it can bring 10 M and 40 S ships inside his bays, and can be used to harass ships arounds while you capture a big target.

Yes, you can Repair them manually with your Spacesuits repair laser.
Just target the Module, get in range and use the beam.

Oooh I didn't know you can cycle the modules, I'll try that.
I'll keep the escort ships in mind too
