AI collect personal inventory loot?

Hi, are there any mods and/or a way for your AI controlled ships to collect personal loot (crafting supplies), like loadestones, spacefly eggs, Xenon components etc? As I have seen tons lof loot getting dropped with in a large scale war or miners mining and rare items like eggs and stones, but unable to get there due to distance and limited time to collect and very time consuming.

Collect Drops is the command you're looking for. (From the right click menu).
Works great with repeat orders.

ok thanks, ill check that out, no that doesnt work, thats for dropped cargo loot, I have a miner mining adding that command will only work after completeing the initinal minning command

I literally use it in combat sectors, it works, it sounds like you are trying to issue it once, then have a ship continue mining and then re-issue the command itself?

that is the only way, I dont have any other options in list of commands, set first command to mine, but only option I have is collect drops (collect all dropped object items in the specified area). After the miner has completed mining then goes for the drops, dropped items have aready despawned, I cannot keep cancelling mining order then select collect drop, this is time consuming and counterproductive.

Then don't use your miner to collect drops. Get a scout ship setup on repeat orders with collect drops. The tools works the way they intended it too, you're just not using it that way.
You can suggest a change on their forums.

But that doesn't change that it is suppose to work this way.

thanks for the help, done this as you said, miner doing its job, but 2nd ship you set the collect order but cancels the order straight away as nothing to collect, I may be missing something, I have tried to set up a repeat order but cancels the first order.

no, loadestones, eggs dont always drop, this is why im asking if there is a mod that ships automatically pick them up, I know for 1 mission you need loadestones. Doing this my sef can take a couple of hrs, plus if I need massive amount of emp bombs i need a faster means to collect them, I have fly by looting mod so I can fly by and collect small loot crafting items, I see 100`s on the map in combat areas and mining areas, though dont have the time to get there to collect my self

thanks for the video, he must have a command mod, as I do not have those settings in my UI for repeat orders

To setup a collection ship:

Make sure that the ship has a pilot with enough stars to get the "Repeat action" standing action. Tell the ship to do Repeat action, then accept that. You will get a warning about all issued commands being removed. Accept this.

Then once you have done so, issue a "collect drops" order at the location in question. Then, once you have your HQ (With a dock and having talked to Boso) and the ship has an inventory item, select the ship, press F, then select deposit inventory.

Hopefully that will help you enough to get you started :) Once the ship has deposited it's wares, it will automatically return to the collection area.

Craft loot will be collected using the method that was described to you.

One thing to keep in mind, is that lodestones, spacefly eggs, and unstable crystals will not drop from asteroids being mined by NPCs unless you are in the sector near them. If you plan to remain stationary for a while, you can get aboard a station near where there is a lot of mining activity, set a ship on "repeat orders" and give some orders to alternatively collect drops and then deposit inventory, as was described above, and over time, you'll get a lot of these crafting items.
