What an epic game people

This has to be the most fun ive had with a space game of this kind in decades. First time I recall being able to literally sit in my chair, drinking a glass of tea and eating peanuts, while standing on the bridge of my ship, in full confidence watching out the windows as my ship engages scum pirates. All I had to do was issue a few orders and watch the battle unfold with all the fireworks and hope i live to tell about it. I did come out victorious but with heavy damage. This is some good stuff!

The visual aspect of X4 is great. I often enjoy walking around on docks, seeing ships arrive & leave, especially with a dramatic background (Avarice has some great stations for that)

Thanks for the thread OP! I too love X4 too and the last 500 hours have gone by what feels like in an instant, it's just so much damn fun.

This is the best space game I have ever played, I loved x3 but this goes beyond any other game.

The game never gets old even after thousands of hours !

I already have some stories about this game i been telling my friend. I was getting pushed around and harassed with this Courier i was in so i purchased a Minotaur class gunboat with a medium preset. I feel so much safer and more confident in this much larger vessel when those small pirate fighters are around. Even my low skilled pilot can handle most pirate threats unless i'm really outnumbered. I'm sure my pilot is probably STILL better then i am lol. So yeah, I wasn't just kicking back drinking iced tea on the bridge of that Courier, I was scared to death when threats were around and I couldn't outrun them. Now with the Minotaur, it's like, open fire sir, im going get a drink and some snacks then ill be right back to watch the fireworks, call me if you need me.

This is how I have looked at the game since kicking off when it released. I am living my Scifi life in X4 and its been an awesome ride so far.

Try Avorion, and see what a real space game is like. X4 is a pile of garbage, and always will be.

Interesting, it has half the player count of X4.

And 5 times less than Space Engineers, a more similar game to it than X4.

I probably would like Avorion if I could just get past the voxel gfx X4 is so beautiful visually.

You hold a very deep grudge against X4, we get it.

Its sad that you don't like our Game but thats no excuse for your continous negative replies.

I suggest you let it go and move on to another Game and/or Community that suits you better.

You're replying to a "hey guys, I'm enjoying myself with this game" with a response that just makes you sound jealous that you don't get enjoyment out of it.

I play both games quite often but X4 is the one that endures for me. Avorion is nothing more than a fighting arena simulator that has a fake economy. A really fun fighting arena simulator.

X4 has a fully simulated economy (with exceptions being factions having unlimited credits & encounters are spawned in (I disabled the latter w/ a mod though)), which makes it so much more fun.

Anything you do to hamper or help a faction has a butterfly effect. The game was clearly a labor of love and Egosoft - like always - has proved they keep supporting their games and X4 is getting better all the time.

The only thing here that's garbage is your constant negative attitude.
