Achievements playing modded game

I'm playing a modded game
I seem to have some achievements being recognized but not others.
The ones being accomplished seems to be story like, and the ones not being updated as an example are the one for taxi runs.
Do mods prevent achievements in the game?

Achievements are dumb. The only thing you've achieved by playing a video game is enjoying your time. Your one shot at life, reflected by a black mirror. What will it display when you are dead?

Modded games do not disable achievements. But mods disable online features. There are two achievements tied to Venture online feature: "In a galaxy, far away" and "back home". However, this feature has been disabled by developers so these two achievements are impossible to get anyway, even in vanilla games. At least for this moment. All other achievements should be unlockable with modded games.

Agreed... to an extent. I have never cared for achievements because I play games for their content and don't care for online points. But I understand that some people obsess over achievements to the point of refusing to play games that lack them. I don't get it personally, but everyone finds enjoyment in different ways.

I take the achievements as an indicator how far I have progressed in the game for my own personal enjoyments sake.
Therefore it really bums me out when games don't enable achievements when mods are installed.
