reset map orientation button?

one of the things that pisses me off the most is when you want one of your ships tp pull up next to you and safely fire on an enemy station (cause the AI cant handle attack orders without suicide flying into station range) and then you look and your ship is 25 km BELOW or ABOVE you. so i have to mess with the map to get them on my altitude but my OCD hates having to fix the map orientation. is there a quick button for this?

Also, is there a button to center the map on the player. I am the center of my universe. :)

We all feel your frustration when trying to get a ship to a certain 3D spot. If the "fly to my current position" command doesn't do it for you, maybe using a nav beacon could do the trick. Just spitballing here.

For reasons almost beyond comprehension, the 'button' for this is your character's name in the top left corner.

I think they meant it to be a 'center on character' button, which might have made sense. But the tooltip calls is 'reset to top view' and I only discovered it because I thought I might be able to rename my character.
