Guide to earning money in Star Wars Interworlds?
In vanilla I'm usually a scrapper at the start, since the constant wars means that a lot of salvage and loot are always up for grabs. In SW Interworlds tho, the factions don't go to war at the start of the game and it makes earning money difficult. I've mostly been doing patrol missions which pay well, but are extremely boring since it mostly involves just moving around a sector for 20 minutes. Any tips/guides to earning money in this mod?

Used the Imperial Trader start which gave me a bit of money and an M-class transporter if that's any help.

It's not as foolproof as my vanilla method but the way I've been doing it is first starting as a trader (pick a starter with a decent bit of money and a decently-sized ship), and then work towards building a mining fleet. Starts slow but it will exponentially grow your money. Once you are able to buy your first capital ship, then you can start going on raids with your preferred factions. It doesn't yield as much money, but it's definitely more fun imho and it still brings enough to keep your ships repaired/replaced if you do go down.

Typically my gameplay would consist of picking an Imperial start, trading my way to a mining ship, then making them mine in Ord Mantell or the planets around it. I'll just continue expanding that mining fleet (using timewarp to speed it up) until I can afford an Imperial SD. After that I just do stuff I find fun e.g raiding, station building, wars etc. since the mining fleet would be my moneymaker for the rest of the game (until you build a profitable station).

I know it is an old post. :)
Happy new years.

My answer is = becoming a Silizium-Mining Company in the late early-game.

I started with quest grinding.
Mostly container quests with my fragile TIE-fighter as imperial agent.

Only quests until I was able to buy my first L-Miners.
Repeat-Orders: Mining - sell - sell - ... - repeat
With 4 L-miners I built my first Mining-company station (Sillizium/Methan).
I bought much more Miners (32x M-ships + 24x L-ships) and set a satelit
at each imperial station which needs Silizium or Methan.
The M-ships are the traders and the L-ships are the miners.

After building 2 more stations for the other common recources to boost
the economy of the NPC empire I have enough income now to start building
bigger battleships before I even started to build any product.
