EDIT: I take it back, I went back to check on the station, and its stuck again, same place it was before.
you need to cancel out without saving, and reselect / go back in.
always check the build queue carefully when going into a build. cancel if you see a strange queue.
Can only imagine it hasn't cleared a previous station you looked at from the cache, and tries to implement it in the next plot.
I think it is a bug, but it has been there for a while.
edit
I take it the 30 drones is due to a small module being built. If you have more it will use them later on...(I think)
I don't have any other stations building right now, certainly none with any protein pastes. Also, I tried the move-the-station-then-cancel bit and it didnt work again :(
I've just noticed that the protein paste production facility it wants to delete no longer exists. I cant select it to highlight it, and all planned protein facilities are still there in the green queue, unbuilt.
Update: So it worked after i rotated the thing and cancelled a few times. I'm watching it count down to delete the nonexistent protein factory again. When it got to zero, it failed to start building the next part, then put up another phantom protein factory to take apart again: https://i.postimg.cc/HLj3vBV1/x4-03.png
However, I got rid of all the planned protein producers on the factory. That immediately prompted the deconstruction of the invisible protein plant. Hopefully it won't start up again. I also noted that the protein modules seemed to be clipped well into other modules, some of which had been built. Wonder if it didn't like that. I'll update again.
Edit: Nope, now it's doing it to the next type of building in line, the medical plants. https://i.postimg.cc/Sx1f9CVT/x4-04.png
Gonna reboot it. If that doesn't work I'll cancel everything on the station and reload from the saved blueprint.
BUT, it is letting be build it out again from scratch. If I had to guess, it was the protein things that ended up clipped through multiple Terran L habitats.
If it lets me rebuild the thing again and builds it, I'll advise.
The issue I mentioned was about the game mistakenly having sometimes a completely different planned station on the plot. cured by not saving and going out and back in.
Are you sure the plot size is big enough x/-x y/-y etc.
trooperrob already mentioned that its best to trippe check if the correct station is shown in the editor and if not to simply exit (multiple hits of the DEL key suffice) out of the wrong build.
i am not aware of a reliable repro of this nasty issue... but there should be someone on the case already.
Like the thing still docks ships, but its weird lol.
