Why is there no dev console?
This is a single player game. If I have an issue I want to be able to fix it myself.

Why is there no dev console??

Why do people come to the forums guns blazing and ranting rather than asking questions? X4 offers an amazing modding engine to allow players to play any way they want. You don't like vanilla? Want console commands? Install the mod! You can even edit the saves if you want.

I mean.. the dude was asking multiple questions.. I don't see any blazing guns...
