What does actaully scanning station to 100% does?
In old days it used to unlock blueprints but now? What does it do?

Nothing but module information to be unlocked from what I can tell

You can expand the station and see each module instead of question marks

Scanning data leaks however can give decent discounts with a chance for an amazing one.
With research it will give you blueprints as well

Comm leaks give illegal mission

Thanks seems like huge time sink for little reward unless you just scan data links... Also seriously they need to implement outline of scanned parts. Wizzing around in spacesuit around shipyards is not fun when you cant see whats been scanned already

Its actualy seen what scanned and what not.
If you're about emp blueprints you can check what you've got from in-game encyclopedia "blueprints -> modules"
Aside emp leaks you can scan mosules/data leaks using ship only.

Adding to that question.
What information exactly is added by scanning a module to 100% via spacesuit as opposed to scanning a little lower from your spaceship?
I didn't really notice anything so far. But I'm usually just interested in their storage manifests, if anything at all.

Why spacesuit?

Just use the ship and fly around the station and it auto scan

Each module has its' own scanned percantage. They all get added up to the percentage for the whole station.
Scanning all modules via spacesship does not bring you to 100%, but rather something like 80-90%. It's enough to reveal all the info I've ever looked for. But...
Scanning, or even rescanning, all the modules via spacesuit does get the information to 100%. I just have no idea where the difference is, or why there is a difference at all.
(Also, either trade subsciptions or reputation above a certain point will reveal station info to 100%, too. I guess its reputation basedd, but not sure right now).

the higher the scan percentage the more informations are revealed... like resource consumption, product output, drone count, ammunition count, workforce, production cycle time.

by the way.. if you don't want to scan a station you can achieve the 100% scan by simply climbing the reputation ladder up to the absolute maximum...

Is it info for in-game encyclopedia?

ingame ency and the related stations very own logical overview.

So, a simple scan by ship will leave few ??? somewhere in the logical overview or information panel?
Is it random which information gets unlocked? Or is there an order?
eMYNOCK  [developer] May 25, 2022 @ 12:51pm
correct, and the ??? are usually combat / defensive related.

Thanks, I'll have a look once I'm close to station again, that isn't currently fully allied (They are all on the other side of the galaxy :steamsad:)

Since you guys are on the topic, I remember seeing the modules of a station listed, with unscanned modules with the ???'s. I'm pretty sure it was in the Info screen. I don't see that anymore.
