X4: FOUNDATIONS - Release date, prices and more

EGOSOFT is very happy to announce the release date for the long awaited 4th part of the X series: X4: FOUNDATIONS will be available on Steam and egosoft.com on November 30th 2018.

X4: FOUNDATIONS brings our most sophisticated universe SIMULATION ever. Manage your assets or EXPLORE space in first person. Fly every ship, TRADE and FIGHT to BUILD your empire with modular station construction and THINK carefully when embarking on an epic journey.

X4: Foundations - The start into the X4 universe

X4: Foundations will feature an extremely large universe from day one. Home to several factions of the Argon, Teladi and Paranid races, each with multiple complex economies. The Paranid, for example, are a race with very deep religious beliefs, fractured into two competing empires and now raging war against each other.
Then there are of course also a lot of other potential adversaries: Those where you have a choice, like different Pirate factions, and those where you don't, like the infamous Xenon: A race of advanced artificial general intelligence, once built by mankind themselves to help colonise space.

There will be Expansions, which will bring more races, their ships, stations and lots of missions into the X4 Universe. Our goal is to bring the first big Expansion within about one year.

X4: FOUNDATIONS will be available for $49.99 (€49.99) on November 30th.

On the Egosoft forums the Devs said dont pay attention to the store timer so you cant possibly expect people to not get extra hyped, especially if its already past the release time where they live.

Yeah no they said it would not release before 14:00 german time which is in like 5 hrs and 30 mins. Nice try though.

That`s 14:00 UTC which would be 6 hours, as its 8am here in UK.

Probably for the best if you get a nap. Nothing worse than trying to play a new game and making silly mistakes due to being tired. Check every few hours, and once DL can be started then sleep for the install period.

It could be anytime after 14:00 UTC. Timer is not correct.

I still don't have an exact time, but I will reiterate that it will definitely not be at midnight UTC. In fact I'm pretty confident that it will not be before 14:00 UTC either, because trying to releasing anything before the guys at Steam have had breakfast would make them very grumpy! Remember to make the relevant timezone calculations when you work out what this means for you.

Sure he wasn't asking if it's US time, as that makes it time, and he can't down his load yet?

So it could be released before the countdown, because it is currently set at 17.00 UTC, but here I continue to see posts that talk about 14.00 UTC. Am I right or have I missed something?
