Cant find antimatter cells.

I need them to blow up a ship for the story, but i can't find any place that sells them. I am currently searching the grand exchange areas, to no avail.

Use the filter I found some within a few minutes of starting the game... Also, the Boron directs you to a station that sells them

yeah, this is my 2nd or 3rd character. I was used to them giving me the locations, this time around though i had to find everything myself. Nothing showed up

In my game I had to go buy the blueprints and make my own station to get them. It was way after I completed the quest that I ran across the first NPC antimatter cell factory

I ran into this problem once, my game was already quite advanced in hours before I got around to the quest and literally all the races had gotten rid of (as far as I could tell) the Cell factories, all they had were tons of antimater converter facs, and believe me I had most of the galaxy explored and had sats in place, the filter showed only converters lol.

Yeah this is something that happens now and then as a result of a randomly generated universe. They're out there. There are always at least 2-3 stations that sell them at game start, you may just have gotten terribly unlucky and not have any nearby. I'm pretty sure there is always one in Teladi space. Best thing to do is just start using your long range scan, go uncover all those question marks, sector by sector, until you find a station or an equipment dock or a trading station that sells them. They're out there! You absolutely do NOT have to build your own station for them - you'll find the station eventually. Once I literally had to completely expose the entirety of every single Teladi sector to find it.

Note, if you ARE doing this and exposing stations - consider getting some satellites if you can afford them and drop them near the stations you expose. Sometimes you can get a single sat to cover 2-3 stations. This makes it so that the trade prices and volumes are available to you at all times - in my games I have every single station lit up by a satellite.

As others have said use the filter on the map. Yes it is quite confusing even with the filter on b/c then you have to zoom out all the way. The map only shows objects that are within the view. Once you find that Antimatter cells are for sale 'somewhere' hover your mouse over the ware in the sell list and you will see it draws a line to the station in question. Then go click on that station and you will see it has Antimatter cells for sale. After this don't forget to reset your filter on your map view.

The map view is still very cluttered and confusing yet functional. I just went through this very thing in my game.
