At first i thought i had forgotten to confirm the build changes. but after re-adding the missing modules the resources on hand and Needed match exactly. so i know the parts were delivered and the build was canceled at some point after.
not every station or every upgrade. just often enough to notice.
From my experence, its gone, you need to rebuild, but you should have allot of the materials from past stuff in your build storage as any moduals u had built prior that are gone should have given you the deconstruction return on them.
https://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=447286 any of this sound familear?
I had something similar happen with my PHQ afew weeks back, it seemed after a certain point everything that i had built in the last setup had disappeared, was missing huge gaps in my station and had to rebuild.
the post from here that was also discussing similar things. originally thought it was seta https://steamcommunity.com/app/392160/discussions/0/3278066986681375147/
The second issue who knows. I never touch SETA. I research it just because I'm a completist but it is buggy af and was never needed in X4 anyway.
This happened on stations where I got everything done, and then noticed that there was something I didn't like about the build. I tried to pick-move-return the module sequences in the order I wanted, changed out a connecting sub-module, whatever, but sometimes the sequences would only get partially selected/affected and I'd end up doing it piece meal.
I think if you happen to modify one (deliberately or accidentally) that screws up the build order in some certain way it causes this error (I have no idea what the error is), and it'll dump everything after that point.
On a side note, I sorta get around this by saving a copy of the final builds of my stations, and if it dumps, I can reload the template and every unbuilt module is filled in. I can then try to figure out which part of the build it dumped at and redo that portion. Unfortunately, this can introduce more dump bugs from my experience. I think I went through that maybe four or five times with the From The Ashes shipyard
Can't say anything about the manager tho...
have to wait until my headquarter overhaul is done but for now i got it fixed
not confirmed but maybe a way you can try - savegame is the keyword
1. find (if possible) the part of the station thats the problem at some point of contruction there will be a problem and the game asks you to confirm changes - whatever you are doing the contruction will stop and you lost your plan - now load a savegame and find the problem (in my example it was 1 of 3 vertical connections - i deleted all 3 and some other connections before the next different component - scrap processor)
2. now when the contruction come to that point it will ask again to confirm or abort changes - i only confirmed changes yet - then my contrution deleted an invisible connection (probably somewhere inside another component - did some clipping mistakes the day before i got it fixed) after decontrution of the invisible connection the plan was intact and the builder ship continued with work - waiting now for more problems but hopeful
Yes, with a saved plan you could easily undo the deleting. But the build kept being deleted, meaning you have to repeat the loading of the plan often while still having nothing built at all...
There are just sometimes bugs in some parts. Find and replace them and you might get rid of it if lucky. I found my problem fixed after watching carefully not to overstep boundaries while also replacing some other parts - meaning i cannot tell for sure how to fix. But it might improve your chances.
i can only ask again.. if anyone has such a save and a way to reliably reproduce it... CBJ and the others are eager to get their hands on the repro case and savegame.
i won't even send who ever can reliably reproduce the problem into the official by now... all i need are the repro steps, the save and i will happily copy'paste it into the topic... not having an official account should not be the barrier.
Want save files for every bug? Remove the 10 save limit. I always save my games when I run into something weird but because I can only save 10 games at a time they eventually get overwritten. Let me manage my own save files and the amount of space they take up :) I'll send you a save file for every bug I encounter! STOP BABYSITTING ME! ;P
(As babysitters go, eMYNOCK is my favorite).
