Travel mode spin up times
Is this a hidden stat or are they actually all identical? If this is hidden it should be documented.

It varies across the three engine types combat, all round and travel.... with travel having the longest spin up time (but higher full speed.)

You will feel this quite significantly in the ships handling after first engaging travel mode.

There are a bunch of hidden stats for travel drives that don't show up anywhere ingame (they're on engine mods but you can't see the value they modify) - the important ones are charge up time and attack time (acceleration).
https://www.qsna.eu/x4/ships/ has them both.

Travel drive charge time for S & M is 0 seconds for combat engines, 1 for all-around and 3 for travel.
For L & XL it's 20 seconds regardless of engine.

Attack time varies by engine type but is generally higher for travel drives and larger ships.
Teladi and Terran engines also have shorter attack times (faster acceleration) than the others.

Oh wow thanks so much, this is actually exactly what I was looking for! I'm a bit of a dunce and realize now that my original post (I have ADHD or something) was only a partial thought. I wanted to know if every engine was identical in each type across manufacturers, but I failed to mention that and also classes too.
