and also as a noob who just build his first factory and makes 1 mil in 30min-1h it's not nice to see something slowly coming too you, destroying everything faster than anyone can rebuild
Don't forget that X4 is a real economy while previous games were not. If the Rebirth mod causes the new ships to be too expensive or too inefficient, then you're complaining about a mod, not the game.
Edit: In my 5.10 vanilla game, the commonwealth were banding together top right in Matrix #451 (Free Families territory) just mere hours in the universe. Sure, Xenon were fighting back in Hatikvah's Choice I, but the commonwealth are holding them so far. I started as Terran and barely got traders starting to help with Commonwealth economy.

Since you have an Arawn It might be more of a mod thing if the mod gave Xenon longer shooting weapons
No, they just added new ships, didn't edit any weapons... Could be possible that the AI was just too dumb again to get in range and shoot the I. At least he was shooting a hefty amount of missiles.

While Plasma the player equivalent has a range of 8.6 km
With a few Destroyers armed with plasma that is not the rattlesnake you should be able to wipe the floor with most of the Xenon capital ships.

I recommend you look at
Range² (km) and Lock Range to find the range that AI will use the missile.
Some missile can easily pull them into range of the enemy.
Without them the combat element ceases to exist?
Try this mod that removes them from the game and you will see what i mean...
No xenon.

Edit: Are you sure the Faction enhancer does not effect the Xenon? I just read the description and there is no distinction between commonwealth and xenon in there so I believe that mod also affects them.
