Best Faction's Defense Modules?

So I usually hate questions like this because "best" in a RP-style sandbox game often has a lot of interpretation - but I'm curious what are the characteristics that make one faction's defense modules better than another for you? Let's say that they're all using the same turrets so we remove armament from the equation. Ultimately then it seems to come down to number of hard points and position of hard points relative to the structure. And maybe cost. Which factions do it best?

I'm leaning toward Split just because of edge positioning due to the thin structure - they seem to be able to get a taller firing arc than flat style modules with the hard points in the middle of the flat part.

I like the terran donuts. You can stack them into a tower of death really easy. I put them out by themselves at the edges of the plot not attached to anything. four or 5 of them on top of one another is enough to handle just about anything.

the best is usually the one that can utilise the most of its weapons in any major direction.

terran discs, terran bridges, paranid bridges, everything else after.

but thats only my humble opinion.

The only issue I have with Terran is of course that they require Terran construction parts. I'm sure Paranid are cheaper than Split - probably more durable too.

Terran discs and bridges with ARG Plasma is my go to. Deadly when stacked or clustered both vertically and horizontally, surrounding your defence station.

Number of turrets on individual platforms isn't really a major factor since the defense platform itself is dirt cheap anyway, the main cost is the turrets and shields.
So you can just build more of them if you want more turrets.
The main factor for me is firing arcs, followed by hull strength.

Paranid discs have terrible firing arcs and less weapons than Argon ones but are slightly tougher.

Split discs have rather low hull and their firing arcs aren't that great either - they only get to use a third of their turrets against any one threat at best unless it's coming from above/below.

Argon discs have the the highest number of turrets and very good firing arcs, but they're very fragile and the turrets being all clustered together makes them very vulnerable to aoe attacks.

Teladi have the same firing arcs as Argon with more hull but less turrets.

Terran discs have better firing arcs than Paranid or Split but not as good as Argon or Teladi. They have good hull though. The spread-out nature of their turrets also makes them less vulnerable to aoe attacks.

The overall winner for me though are Terran bridges - they have a ton of turrets that are decently spread out, high hull and firing arcs on-par with Argon and Teladi discs, so they're pretty much the best parts of all of them.

are those terran trade storages i see in that, or just a bunch of admin centers?
i swear i been seeing people using the terran medium trade storage modules but cant find a way to get them.
