do the RIP plot but dont go into the anomaly and you will have a timer telling you exactly when the next tide hits, when the first warning hits (first timer expiring) and when the tide actually arrives.
Just put an alert universe wide (or allow it in Global Orders) and put that the tide is about to happen in the log so players can get there and do their thing.
I rarely regret buying DLC's, but it's one I sort of do. Still I want to support the Dev's because x4 is a great game, warts and all.
Never seen those issues, it works very well for me, My 7 Teutas are doing wonders and I have around 80 Manticore salvaging ships for several stations.
Also my solar power plant in avarice is making tons of energy cells and I even put up a mining station in avarice that makes tons of credits...
Are you running Manticores in Avarice? And they don't get destroyed by the Tide all the time? Or is your salvage op in Windfall and energy production in Avarice?
That's not what I asked.
I have one salvaging station in windfall yes and then there is one in nopileo's and another in Heretic's end and split fire (mod)
My energy cells come from avarice, For unknown reason only my S traders get blown up by the tide xD I lost maybe 5 M traders and some got damaged but I had 50 S traders at some point and they are all dead now I no longer replace them.
they are modifications you can install on ships to avoid tide damage, very helpful for miners
So you get an idea of when it makes sense to teleport to Avarice 5 and eventually wait for the next flood with SETA on...
Not an exact timer though, but better than randomly waiting a full hour in sector...
To me it just the alert mechanics wasn't fool proof, the manticores and traders do go to "wait for signal" if they are on route to avarice if the tide warning first announced.
However, the problem is after that announcement any ship still can plot a route without the interrupt provided by that first announcement.
Also that "wait for signal" was an automated response much like fleeing but it was a one time order that can be removed even when the tide event is ongoing.
