nah man, you get the storage but you need to pick it all up from the hidden area

no you can never make your own Protectyon... the whole Protectyon Economy is basically a big scheme that was created by the twins...

they stumbled upon a basically free to grab resource and sold it to the highest bidder.. artificially keeping it in low supply (why does that sounds like the real world?)

anyway.. when you have access to the condensate storage you can store it, you can make multiple trips into leap of faith, get some, bring it to your storage facility and distribute it...

you can also just build the condensate storage onto you your HQ, jump it into LoF (don'T forget to bring enough resources to be able to jump back) fill the entire Storage with bazillion units of protectyon, jump back into the network and stay out of LoF for a good while.

essentially you can grab the mysterious material not even Boso can figure out and break the artificial scarcity that was totally made up by the twins.

or you can side with them, keep it scarse and just join their secret club...
One option is to commit to manually hauling back loads of condensate and single-handedly keep Avarice alive. The other is to ally with two annoying space-suit-bomb-magnets in awful, awful suits. I find neither appealing.

Say I went with a third option. What happens to the NPC stations if I kill the twins and ignore the condensate racket entirely?

Here's my reasoning. If every station in Avarice were destroyed, that would suck. But the gates are open again. The Rakers can just up and leave. They aren't dependent on the condensate for survival now. The monopoly is already broken. The resources in Avarice, such as they are, can be accessed from Windfall almost as easily. The tide isn't even that dangerous to large ships with conventional shields. I've ridden it out successfully and unprotected in my Odysseus E, which only has two shield generators. Magnetars and Cranes could button up and ride it out just as easily.

this is for sure a plausible possibility.. but do the Rakers actually want to leave?
There will always be those folks that are just to stubborn to actively pursue changes.

so if i haul it manually out, i have to enter same way i did first time? just when a wave hit at that wormhole.. or can i enter when i want trough the exit i used (and marked with a navpoint)

guess AI is not smart enough to enter there and get it out... still VIG space is super red and hostile to me, so not much survive trying to get to those systems..

Guess i have to work my self up, i play vanilla - no mods.. so take a while, changed my large medium fleet of miners into large fleet of miners atm.. and i have my clay and adv electro multible factories up-- money getting there..
I can not at current state take on VIG and do those 3 missions to make em nautral..well only need to do 2 of em i hear.

Networth still only 300millions (not play this savegame for that many days)

you have to go through there manually.
If staying there is their choice, then it's on their heads. Same goes for the Northriver boys. There will be plenty of room for them once I get some planets terraformed for the Argon factions. I've got thousands of Split expats housed and sustained with the other sapient peoples at my shipyard in Black Hole Sun. The Rakers are welcome to join them there and at many other of my stations once I learn to make their housing modules. There's a shortage of advanced composites and electronics. I need staff.

It's a shame, really. Boso managed to figure out how to teleport and entire station, but for some reason hasn't mentioned recreating jump drive technology. Cargo transporters and jump drives were the cornerstone of my fleet replenishment strategy in X3AP, turning torpedo frigates into WMDs. Jump freighters like that would be ideal for shipping condensate between collection and distribution stations.

Each time I learn new things about this DLC, the more I regret even buying it.
Do we have to haul it manually ourselves?!

Why?! Isn't the whole point of the game to be able to automate our empire?
How fun is it to have to stop whatever we are doing to manually fuel another faction's shields?

It's not even worth settling in avarice ourselves, there aren't resources that are worth the risk, plus keeping our own stations alive would only increase the need for Protectyon.

Since when has X4 become a gas station simulator?
Who had that great idea?

Yet we can build modules on our station that make our ships jump to another universe, that's great lore building here.

I guess making such a jump gate between two stations would be completely impossible.

you do not need to do any of it dough... as i understand it you do not need this condensate for anything or to keep anything alive as i understand it.

Game work fine with ignore this, atleast for now.. i just stay in normal space and not in this wierd space (only 1 sector) with no gates

Yeah, that means completely ignoring the new content, hence regretting buying the DLC still.
It's like saying buying the COH DLC and never going past Antigone memorial or Getsu Fune, what would be the point?
