Reputation gain
ok firstly i normally just cheat when it comes to reputation but on this occasion i tried to avoid using any cheats at all i have taken over almost all xenon sectors there is really nothing left for me to do or achieve in this game but i am yet to achieve max reputation with anyone this is frankly ridiculous it should not be so insanely hard to get reputation to plus 30 i have been stuck on plus 28 with the terrans for two days now despite getting endless constant reputation gain messages for their faction what gives devs? Also while i am on this topic i also feel blueprint prices are absurd interested to hear other folks opinions

Hi, depends on your way to increase reputation.
I haven´t reached it with terrans in 150 hours (stuck on 29) but I haven´t done any war quests only trading and that might be the problem.
Getting to 30 which is not even an alliance but BFF status should be difficult without questgrinding.

I steal all blueprints that are above 2 mil so the only ones that are expensive to buy are the ship fabrication modules and those need to be expensive because the game is basically "over" if you got those. Once you can build your own ships (with own supply chains) there is nothing left to do economically so these need to be that expensive.

EDIT:
A nice alternative for the ship fabrications would be to find an abandoned one which would need a huge amount of ressources to restore, kinda like terraforming. That way you wouldn´t need to save hundreds of millions of credits instead of investing them again. But that is a topic for a mod :)

A full universe in peace is a boring universe.
I am not surprised you got nothing left to do.

Activate some wars between factions and side with some factions to take out other factions, this gets you to a complete new level.
It will be much much harder and requires "a lot" more money compared to a war against the easypeasy Xenons.
Xenons are the easiest faction to wipe out.

Blueprint prices are fine imo.
And Module-Blueprints you can get most for free anyway with EMPs.

As for reputation to +30, yes this can take a very very long time.

Don't Cheat, you gonna destroy the entire fun for yourself.
But you can ofc. do whatever you want.

yep cheating does ruin the fun i agree but sometimes you just cant be bothered to get 6000000 magufins for a stupid reserch quest or something and personally i find having to do hundreds of mindless boring trivially easy quests just so i can get enough rep to buy a ship i need soul destroying

If you think rep gain is slow you should play the x3 games, have fun never getting anything ever.
rubyismycat Mar 30, 2022 @ 1:59am
in x3 its super easy to get max rep with everybody find the abandoned split personel transporter in family whi upgrade its speed to max and be a taxi driver and do a few military transportation missions you make millions and get max rep super fast just make sure you install a jumpdrive

How do you steal blueprints?
McMuffin Mar 30, 2022 @ 2:24am
After researching the tech in the PHQ you just need to use an EMP-Bomb on the module you want and scan the resulting leaks. You can steal almost anything except ship fabrication and special modules.

ruby, i am glad that you start to dig around the game without cheating.

for the initial question of this topic... every trade your ships do will give you a itty bitty tiny reputation increase... to get to 30 you just need bazillions of them.

it is faster were you main base of operations is.. or in the systems yu may call your home system..

you can also do missions... do a mission here and a mission there... this works as well.

or you take on build missions... usually defence station build missions pay out very well and come with a good reputation reward.

regarding EMP bombing and blueprint stealing.. that requires your HQ and research in the different Blueprint fields... like in the guide McMuffin posted.

also.. the better your relations the higher the discounts you get... and if you own systems your 28+ allies will even send patrols to your sectors.. to protect YOU.
rubyismycat Mar 30, 2022 @ 4:33am
i have noticed that the terrans most definately have my back sending patrols into the sectors i took from the xenon fairly often the other terran faction are on plus 27 with me but i started as a pirate and sell a lot of weed booze stims etc in systems where it is legal to do so like windfall or my own sectors where nothing is illegal except being an ai or an insect lol However i just dont do missions i am sorry to say this because it comes across as very negative but i honestly thought the missions in rebirth were way better especially the combat patrol and sector defence missions
rubyismycat Mar 30, 2022 @ 4:38am
Also regarding cheating i normally only do it when i disagree with some of the core decisions made by egosoft to start you off as hostile to this faction or that faction and in those cases i normally cheat to get a neutral faction standing but i will be the first to admit blueprints annoyed me so much i have always cheated them i think i will start a new game and attempt the no blueprints start but frankly i suspect it will drive me insane i hate scanning i find it way too boring and spacewalking is even more annoying to me lol

take it easy, take it slow...

from cheating from the get go to reducing your cheats slowly is an increase in game difficluty for you..

so.. don't be in a hurry...

and the secrets of blueprint bombing/scanning and some missions will wait until you want to get them... you know the place for tips & tricks and answers already.
rubyismycat Mar 30, 2022 @ 9:19am
Well the difference is really overwhelming from my point of view i just end up feeling depressed knowing it will take me weeks or even months to get all the blueprints i need but some people really love a challenge but im not sure im one of them lol
eMYNOCK  [developer] Mar 30, 2022 @ 9:54am
haha.. but can you be sure without trying it?

don't worry.. we are here and we will answer all your questions when they arise... as said, take it easy and slow for the time being.

do what you enjoy for the moment, and cheat the heck out of the annoying stuff...
