With the mod , Xenon have the same strengh , but the cost of the ships is reduce
Yea, they keep changing xenon strength because people complain, first too strong, then not strong enough.
Why don't they just add 2-3 options? I seriously don't get it.
and NPC factions also have larger fleets, xenon really become a threat now.
But you need a good computer or it's gonna lag bad
You ever heard anything about balance ? They give you options and then you'll complain that xenons eradicated your universe
During the plot of Rebirth the gates are just starting to turn back on for the first time. There's some xenon here and there but nothing huge for most of the game. Then towards the end you open up the final gate to Maelstrom which is a Xenon home sector in which they've been trapped for 100's of years building more and more and more of themselves. As you can imagine, they quickly start pouring through the gate into civilized space.
Luckily the sector they try to flood into is Omicron Lyrae, who has the military firepower to hold them off for a while. Then eventually the player hero has to head right into the heart of enemy territory and take out the main Xenon installation.
Hopefully the next DLC attempts something similar. Once the player decides they want to flip the switch, they do a little quest chain with Boso and turn back on one of the disabled gates. Then have a Xenon home sector on the other side absolutely churning out ridiculous amounts of fleets. Have them pour into the galaxy and act like the Terran Intervention fleets - travel around the galaxy with an actual purpose in mind. Maybe even introduce a new set of Xenon ships "branch X".
Another problem with Xenon is they can't actually get anywhere. The first time they run across a ship or station the pew pew starts. This is where jumpdrives would come in handy. If Xenon at the very least had jumpdrives (which fits because they're the ones that invented it) they could move more freely about the galaxy in search of targets. Add some docks to an I and have it work like a carrier and battleship. Then it could jump in where it needs to go and it brings it's own fleet with it.
It's a single player game where balance is entirely subjective to the experience the player wants. Some want games to be balanced (normal difficulty), some want story mode and some want them to be as challenging as possible.
While a few might complain, the vast majority would appreciate more options rather than having to resort to mods. Don't see many people complaining about games in any genre that have difficulty settings that cater to peoples taste, while not having them (the very few that don't) is complained about much more.
Luckily mods exist to rectify this shortcoming of X games.
Duhu, why do you think the options would be beneficial? Lots of us don't care about balance when it comes to xenon. I want the factions to fight each other not xenons.
I also don't want to always have to go trough plot mission, I don't care. I want a pure sand box.
The idea of a sandbox is that you can set all parameters as you want.
The options would make sense for the people who want to get Xenon. And you could adjust it exactly to your needs and enjoy the faction wars.
custom start, you don't have to go through plots anymore ^^
vast majority ? you made a survey to be sure about that or is that vast majority living rent free in your head ?
Yea well, why is there no information on which plot does what in the custom starts option menu?
The only plot I ever did was the fish man for the staion (which I thankfully haven't got to do anymore), so I have no idea what I have to activate. I also do not want the stories spoiled if I actually want to do them some time. Understand?
Lol don't want to do them but want to know what they do but don't want to be spoiled, okey mate go to bed I think it's time
