2. Silicon is the hardest to mine so I wouldn't recommend using it as a mean to get profit for low level miner.
3. Sector automining require that the refinery be in the same sector as the resource.
There is a bypass to this rule however and this bypass is applied to sector with superhighways.
Superhighways don't count as jumps so they can sell and mine in multiple sector with no issue.
One example of a sector with superhighway is Grand Exchange.
I don't understand...
There might not actually be any buyers in the sector at the moment. You could also have your sell prices set too high. Can you manually find a station that needs the silicone and can you manually order your ships to go sell to it?
so it was selling very well before, but if I have to do micro-management every 5 minutes, it's going to be a pain in the ass...
You only micro in the beginning, later you won't really care about the price because you'll be selling a lot more
if you only use ships, you can use repeat order to make them mine Ore where you want and then make them sell the ore in several sectors
just watch this video real quick, gonna make a lot of money that way ^^

i have only ships , i have only 12hours to the game ^^
Then repeat orders is your way to go !
When i have message like : there are no buyers in the area , put a satellite can be help near stations ? or its good without too ?
