Purpose of Tug and compactor ships

The Teuta (compactor) and Manticore (Tug) and Barborasa (Scavenger) series of ships from the Tides of Avarice DLC. How are these meant to be used? Is there a way for me to set them up to scrap things in a sector and make money off of it?

The Teuta can convert certain Wrecks and destroyed Capital Ships into Scrap Cubes.

The Manticore can drag Scrap Cubes and S/M Wrecks, ideally to a Salvage Facility.

The Barbossa is a military grade Freighter/Destroyer.

The mentioned Salvage Facility ideally made out of a REcycling and Processing Module can turn the delivered Wrecks (Raw Scrap) into Scrap Metal and, depending on the Processing Module, Hull Parts/Claytronics or their Terran Couterparts.

The compressor can be given the task of autoscrap(2 stars pilot). He will look for broken ships/stations and make scrap out of them. Cubes of scrap(or dead bodies of xenon) from the compressor manticore can be dragged to the processing station and sold. The station decomposes them into body parts and claytronics. What barborasa doing, i dont know.
