Stupid question: How do I deliver goods?

I have a mission to deliver foodstuffs to stations on the frontline, but no one's buying. I presume there's another thing entirely I'm to be doing, but for some reason I can't make sense of it. What am I missing?

usually you either dock and "trade" from your ship, or some mission request that you deliver in person (get up and follow the mission path)

So a manual trade, perhaps? I've been having my pilots do everything, so that oddly didn't even occur to me. I'll take control of the freighter and see how it goes, thanks!

my bad i didnt specified it but yes a manual trade

Some missions do require that you do it yourself, but not all. It seems not to register if your NPC does it, sometimes.

Seems my NPC doing it did register, it's just that none of the stations seem to be buying what I'm meant to deliver. In the process of doing it by hand now, though, will see if that changes anything.

In this game, it is possible for a mission to point you at an area that needs goods without a specific target. The analysis is usually right, but sometimes you have to wait for the next good deal.

It's also possible that they mean something different. I was wondering, myself, what exactly they mean by "foodstuffs".

Sounds good, I'll keep an eye out then. For the record, in this particular case, it seems to mean food rations and, oddly enough, medical supplies.

Nothing odd... If you notice the mission briefing it says that you are competing with other traders so, no matter how much you've sold you'll finish the mission when the time runs out....
