X4 vs Evochron vs Stellaris
Evochron has a planetary landing, quite a serious flight model, and a multiplayer.
Stellaris has much more interesting strategy gameplay. And you can build megastructures. Such as Dyson Spheres. And again, multiplayer.

And your message exactly is about?

Stellaris is a grand strategy 4X game, Evochron an arcade space sim (more like Freelancer)

Cities:Skylines is a much better City Simulation than X4 :zagshock:

Super Mario 3D World vs. Civilization VI vs. Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Makes no sense to you? Well. I wonder why.

You're comparing apples with oranges and bananas, they are fruit sure, but different kind of fruits :)

Here is my response, as if we were in Morrowind:

Taunt Fail
You are pathetic.

these are games that i can compare too,...
but whats your point so what?

Evochron is not an arcade flight model! And it does have VR :p
Never played Stellaris.

X4 is more strategy in space with some first person flight added, but mostly have to use the map and direct units etc. If you tried to play as Evochron would play you would be dead alot due to Xenon fighters > Every other fighter. In a Destroyer you could "1st" person fly and beat up xenon, but otherwise with xenon having usually 3 to 1 with NEVER MISS weapons it makes it hard to play that way. Since you can't have an actual wingman(men) it hampers that style of play.

How about an actual question; WTF do we even call this genre where the player is only one element in a much larger economic/etc simulation, and it really doesn't see you as special or particularly care about your actions? Other games I group with X would be Mount & Blade campaign mode and Avorion. I would exclude grand strategy games like Crusader Kings, which isn't nearly as granular, and Anno, in which the player is not a physical entity.

Evochron Legacy just had a pretty major update, he ported it to a newer engine and it looks quite a lot better than before! It also has a companion app you can run on Android devices and it's pretty useful. Just thought I'd mention this

there is no space sandbox out there with that nice graphics and this kind of building stations so tis unique but its not the only space game in the world still i have not found a better one for me. you can test it for 2 hours if you like keep it if not redfund it but in 2 hours you are not close to that point you scratch the surface of the game. its easy to invest hundrets of hours to a savegame and still its there is only you that sets you a limit in this game. you can built your empire and go to war with the rest of the univerese or try make peace in it and build a empire its up to you....

Evochron is not a 4X game and Stellaris is a grand strategy game (all about the macro). Really X4 plays in a league of its own as there really isn't any game like it.

Eve-online is quite close to X. But it's an MMO so not really an option if you have a life...

You also cannot take direct control of a ship. It's a lot more stat based, like an RPG in space. And as you said if you have a life stay away from EvE. Progression is abysmally slow unless you throw tons of real money at it.

Best description of X i've seen is "EVE: Offline", but it's so much more than that. To stay on an EVE comparison, It's kind of a mittani simulator.
