Station miners not mining Ore

I have a lot of systems all setup with resource probe, I have mineral miners assigned to min for mt stations, but they will only mine silicon and not ORE. ie Station requires Silicon and Ore for production, 15+ miners all mining for 5-Star manager, but they will not mine any Ore at all, only the Silicon. Any ideas please.

Create some station settings for "Only Your ships" and "Everyone else but your ships". Set your Silicon to "Everyone Else" and your Ore to "Only Yours". When you have more ore than silicon you can switch the settings the otherway. This won't fix the problem but it does allow you to manage it a little.

Alternatively creating two stations to handle just the raw supply of either Ore or Silicon is also a possibility, however it costs to setup and won't net you a huge amount of funds. (That would require Miners for mining and a seperate miner for selling etc)

Thx for the reply. What I did in the end was made 2 fleets of miners one for Ore and one for Silicon, then set them both to automine sector, seems to be working for now.

You can also manually set a buy amount on silicon so the manager sends his miners for ore once he hits that. If you leave it on automatic they seemingly just mine what's most valuable until stores fill up.

I’m having a similar issue but with silicon, I managed to solve it by using autominer fleets that only mine silicon and only sell to me.

Yup, thats the only way I've seen it actually work properly.
