I rarely used SETA though... highly over rated mechanic
I guess I will start a vanilla save to try out venture once it re-releases and having a vanilla save also would be nice.
Isn't The Segaris plot the Project Genesis? If it's not I need to find the trigger for that plot.
Anyways, thanks guys, guess I need to try those suggestions until I get the material required for SETA
Then you just go do whatever and go collect your loot every now and then (you can order them to drop it off at HQ or talk to them to get it, there's a tab for ships with inventory items under properties).
You'll also level some pilots as a side benefit.
I've had good results using an Odysseus with 12 Perseus with shard batteries, organizing my fighters into wings of three (two fighters assigned to "attack for commander" on a third one, that one gets "intercept for commander" on the destroyer) so they gang up on enemies instead of each fighting their own battle.
Attrition is surprisingly low, i've only lost a single Perseus in over 10 hours of OOS-gatecamping the gate to Frontiers Edge.
Correct, that's the one.
