i havent saw any mission that offer weapon exceptional crafting mats

Trade Guild and War Missions can offer crafting materials as rewards.

The previous Venture system also rewarded crafting materials for Ventures, so hopefully the new version coming out does as well.

They are also rewarded on some plot mission/ plot mission ships like in the paranid plot where ships who die drop some exceptional mod

I got lots from ventures before; started new game and I see they are much harder to come by now. Ditto for paint jobs, only seeing both as mission rewards. In my last game most key ships had at least the blue (mid level), while my personal ships were mostly purple (highest level); had hundreds of paint options as well from ventures.

Aside from direct rewards, keep an eye out for the ones that reward mining ships with exceptional shields as you can break down the mod to get the exceptional item.

You also get a high ranked pilot, a bundle of Nividium and a free ship. its a pretty sweet deal.

Keep in mind you can keep rerolling with your exceptional item and just consume the more common ones, so you only need as many exceptional ones as you have equipment to put them on.

Oh ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! I totally just flew off after those fights and didn't even think to hoover up all the drops.

In almost 600 hours now I've managed to get my hands on 2 exceptional mods.
