Report a translation problem
There's some skirmishes between factions mostly teladi overtaking sectors. Not sure if it happened outside of the betas.
Currently, the Federal behemoths are unleashed on second contact - flash point. They destroy all the ships and stations of the Antigone Republic.
I used to trigger something like this all the time in Rebirth. Let's say there's a Paranid station and a Teladi trader coming in to trade. You come in and park next to the Trader's cap ship and shoot at the Paranid station until it returns fire. Then you dodge the shots at the last second so the shots hit the Teladi ship. Once it takes enough damage, it will fire back on the station. Then the station kills the trader. Then any Teladi in the area come attack. So the Paranid station kills them, too. Pretty soon you have a full-on war.
It's not the same thing. What you are saying is that you can cause a faction ship to be considered hostile by a station or other ship of an allied faction by accidentally shooting it at an ally. My situation is really different: the Antigone Republic and the Argonne Federation are fighting everywhere. they are literally at war, except that they are allies ...
I wouldn't mind if these two factions went from allies to enemies. But there, still being allies (according to the save information, they are at 67 reputation points for each other), it breaks the fun. Civilian ships always travel in space which they consider to be friendly and are shot down by "allied" ships.
You can trigger war Between TER vs ARG/ANT. Only 0.1 % have triggered it on Steam. It causes an all out war between the faction. I go a lot of MODs following Terrain fleets and gathering what mess they leave behind.
Protip, those aren't Teladi ships ;)
I would also like to know. But before this mess, the Holy Order was pushing hard in "flashpoint" so I guess normal warfare works just fine, but i have a mod for that.
