Thus, I use the Syn as an escort for my Asgard and as a complementary siege engine.
Git gud.
By "good speed" I assume you mean you've gotten it to go as fast as a Behemoth with Mk 1s? I mean even with a SPL Mk1 Engine the Syn only goes 116m/s.
I'm guessing in your mind top speed > everything.
You don't read too well do ya. Not sure why you're so flaming and toxic in every thread. But you should at least read the thread your flaming in. Jesus dude chill.
The Rattlesnake is a fast battlecruiser, delivering heavy firepower at high speeds but lacks in shielding and is highly vulnerable to missiles that strip its surface elements.
The Syn is a flying bunker, delivering heavy firepower while being very hard to take down and is the better choice if you know that you will take heavy fire. The Syn can survive it.
Only the Raptor and Asgard can go toe-to-toe with a Xenon I. Everything smaller should be careful to not get into range of too many of its turrets.
Those two ships are highly specialised and extra expensive compared to the Commonwealth destroyers. You can usually buy 3-5, if not more, Behemoths for the price of one Rattlesnake. Syn is even more expensive since you need to get your own shipyards going if you want more.
Dude that wasn't an attack of any sort. Your basis of all your posts seems to be "well xyz is faster!" - hence my post. Jesus dude chill.
Speed is not everything, but if you are fast enough you can dictate the battlefield
It doesn't really make much of a difference because as Star Trucker said enemies just charge you anyway.
The Syn (all Terran capital ships, really) has one of the highest turning rates for its class though which is a lot more useful in combat. And tons of firepower of course.
But yeah, mostly i just park one in front of a Xenon gate with a small fighter wing and forget about it until i need to destroy a station somewhere, but that applies to all destroyers.
I find them very boring to fly personally.
The benefit of using a Syn instead of a Behemoth or Odysseus is that it doesn't matter what comes through, the Syn just won't die.
