Where do I find water. Need help

Maybe a stupid question but as I see that resource probes dont really detect water so I dont know where there is a lot of ice asteroids and where there is not. How do I know which system has good ice asteroid numbers? I want to make a spaceweed factory soon and I have a location picked already but dont know how good the system is on ice asteroids and I have no idea how to check really.

select a ship in that sector hit I then klick into the sector and it should show you the contents of the sector. Alternativly open the encyclopedia > galaxy > sector name (there are sometimes subsectors so always open up with clicking the + ).

There is no water as far as I know. You need ice and a station module to produce water with that.

Just like Ink said you can use the encyclopedia or just left click on the sector in the galaxy map and use the Info-Screen (one of the three buttons on the right side of the screen)

Oh and just to mention it, these infos only show what ressources you discovered in this sector so anything in the fog of war is not included.
Just send a scout around in systems in which you found at least a bit of ice to check out if there is more.

For real you can use this numbers as a Thumbrule for irientation , dont ask me where i found them in the internet and be aware that the numbers dont say how far spread out the ressources are. Maybe they are even outdated, but still, they help a lot in cases like yours
