Anyway to make the xenon stronger?
there suppose to be a big threat yea? there raiding partys are always so tiny

have a look into the workshop and use the keyword "xenon".

if you don't like mods... no, they are how they are...

they used to be stronger until too much "xenon too strong, NERF!" topics emerged.

Stronger in the sense of making the Factions weaker
Block their shipyards

And the Factions will grow much slower, and as result the Xenon become stronger

The big benefit of Blocking is that you dont need to care about it. The blocker stay there as long as you dont move them (or they are destroyed)
And you can all time move a blocker away if you want a ship from the shipyard

And dear Devs if you read that, please dont Fix a issue that is no issue, its the only sollution for the weak Xenon issue. So if you want to get rid of this add a OPTION to strenghten the xenon first. Like
Option 1: Slider that sets the Xenon max Ship amount
Option 2: Slider that sets the necessary Ressources the Xenon need to Construct a ship

Well i guess the "problem" is that in early game, the XEN are way too hard to deal with. In the beginning of my save the XEN where shredding through the sectors like an unstoppable force, but the Stronger the other factions (and myself) got, the easier it was to Counter the XEN attacks and even push them back into their Sectors to nearly Complete extinction.

So yeah, at some point of the game, the XEN are really to easy to deal with, there should be some adjustments to them.

I really dont know if that could be a "slider" or something like that, or maybe a System with "the more Points the player (and Factions) have, the harder the XEN attacks"

What really would help, in my opinion, would be 1 or 2 XEN Sectors which are unreachable by the player or other factions, so the XEN wouldnt go extinct at some Point, a save haven where they always able to recover any losses.

Or maybe to advance that idea, that it is possible to "initiate" a large scale invasion by the player, like for example, it is possible to use a neutral Station or Building from "ancient times" that, if you deliver amount X of ressources or crystals or whatever, the said building will "awake" and trigger a massive XEN Invasion from the unreachable Sector. The Amplifier comes to mind here.

The Ships could even spawn in the unreachable Sectors by magic, the player would never know cause the whole magic happens in an sector he cant reach. So no immersion breaking.

Or another idea, it is possible to find "Ancient Jumpgates" which the player can activate by Hauling Ressources to them so a XEN Invasion could happen.

Or even find a "Jumpgate Blueprint" to built an Jumpgate which the XEN Could use to invade. As a one time use like, because we dont know exactly what we do the Gate will get destroyed after the XEN jump in or any other reason which could be a nice Story addition.

I guess there are enough cool things which even could connect to the Lore (not so familiar with the X Lore though)

Maybe something like this is already planned or someone who reads this could make an awesome mod with such ideas, but hopefully there will be an official thing because i dont want a modded game.

iv been looking at those mods and they make them stronger

just way to strong i dont want the xen to be unstoppable i just want them to be a little bit bigger of a threat than they are

FOCW Is the way to go ! you can balance xenons to make them stronger but not OP
Took me some balancing, I added tons of ships for every faction AND even more for xenons, works very well, xenons will push in some areas and lose in others but overall they do very good !

Yeah that has been my experience as well. Xenon die super quickly once at end game. Would be nice if they got buffed without resorting to modified by mods. (really some mods shouldn't exclude ventures tbh)
They very much need a new sector that is just plain out impossible to wipe out just like the good old GOD engine days. Easy way would be a Xenon sector that only Xenon and Yaki ships can enter and exit the gate through (this would mean player needs Yaki ship too). Or simply make AI empires ignore said sector forever only the player could invade it that way if the player wants the Xenon gone they can do so, but if they don't want the Xenon gone then they won't be wiped out by a single Terran ship. Or just insanely overly protected sector that has some sort of Anti-Asgard ship(s) that stay there. A single TER Asgard wiped out nearly every single Xenon sector in my game even ruining the Yaki plot (had to reload). I would also say as a last idea that could work, giving the Yaki more ships like they had in X3 (carriers, destroyers, frigates) and another sector putting them as an active faction that is allied with Xenon. Have them be more or less aggressive depending on player choices. They would sometimes assist Xenon invasions to raid transports while the invasion goes on. Or simply responding to and defending Xenon sectors from Terrans, Argon, Split forces.
Any of those options would very much make the Xenon a real faction but not an over powered faction during end game where currently they are pretty much a laughing stock thanks to the Terrans.

Hmm, xenon not strong: they cut off the split from the rest of the galaxy(I admit that that came to pass with a mod which I promptly disabled) then they invaded the entire south of the galaxy and Trinity Sanctum is a warzone, with xenon fleets prowling about all the time....and with the COH update they harrassed my main ship suppliers, the Antigone Republic, with an I every 20 mins or so, completely messing up the L freighter traffic in the area, until the Terrans showed up....I tried to do what I could but until I got the fleet up and running all I could was disable the turrets and engines of Xenon I's and Ks.....

As you say, you had a mod, so maybe some "settings" from that mod are still active in your savegame. i can only speak for my own experience, and these experience say that the Xenon are more like a newborn lemming baby.

It is always funny to me that in a game with as diverse a community as this one, people can be so oblivious to the fact that there are a wide variety of play styles. Anyone who has been on this forum for more than 5 min has heard that for everything one player asks for there is another that asks for the opposite. So tons of players were asking for the Xenon to be weaker. They made them weaker. At the same time, and even more now, there are a ton of players asking for xenon to be stronger.

The devs will never satisfy all players with the core code. So they build a modding engine so players could adjust the game to be how they like it.

What is stupid isn't "the game", it's a profound lack of understanding of how devs satisfy a community to sell a game and a selfishness that prevents players from using the tools the devs gave you to make the game how you want. You want stronger xenon? There's a mod for that.

Same here BGratz. In all my save games TER will quickly demolish the Xenon with a single Asgard or single carrier even in Xenon home territory, and Argon/Antigone, Split fleets murder any stray Ks that go into their territory pretty fast. The only time I see Xenon even put up the slightest resistance is when a huge fleet of Ms and Ps invades somewhere with support of I class Xenon ships. Otherwise the fleet battle is 1 sided against the Xenon.
