More NPC mod?
Is there a mod that adds more NPC's to a station?
I want to go in and hire people but there are so few of them that it makes it hard to find them.
I want to get the NPC's that look good on ships and stuff.

I do understand you with good looking NPCs, I am kinda shocked to see people wearing shorts and tshirt on a combat destroyer.

But yeah I gave up on manually staffing my ships, the stations are not very populated. Perhaps they did not added too many NPCs to help save framerate, X4 is already notorious for been a very heavy game.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
I have seen an old one on Nexusmods, but not sure if it still works

Check out "NPCs Recovered by Gramston and Litauen" (v4) on the workshop, it allows hiring professional crew in kinda military-outfits at the Argon HQ. Not sure if it increases population but it does unlock some NPC races/models that for some reason are currently hidden in the game. I'd say some do look a bit better but at least there's more variation of races.
Idragon's mod in nexus not only fixes the "Monkey" problem of the Argons, it restores ballance of races in Stations (Teladi in Teladi, Paranid in Paranid etc and population of stations is adjustable...
Would be nice if we could buy uniforms for npcs at trader shops. Then gift like the seminars, somethin like that for crew customization.
I think people have been requesting crew customization for a while, I hope Egosoft will take that in consideration one day
While it would be nice I think that at least currently there are more important things for Egosoft to work on.
Thanks everyone for your input.

@Mav I have checked out "NPCs Recovered by Gramston and Litauen" (v4) a few months ago but did not like it. For one thing they were making me pay 700,000,000 for one person. I could put together a fleet with that. But thanks anyway.

Thanks all.
1. Go to Documents/Egosoft/X4
2. Open Config.xml
3. Change "chardensity" from the default 0.5 to a higher value (can be even higher than 1).
4. Profitsss

Problem is it buggers up their arms so they look weird. He hasn't been able to fix it. It gets too much after a while. I think he's given up on it.

Right now I just increase the Chardensity in the files and use a Mod for NPCs in a slightly wider variety of clothes that doesn't bow the arms.

It still takes a good while to find an NPC that I like the look of to employ! Took me ages to find my personal secretary Nyota Fisty!

If only Egosoft would greatly increase the variety of clothing, even if they don't all show up. Maybe make it an option in the game, or just have the clothing options there that the Player can use for his NPCs once he's employed them. More and better looking faces wouldn't hurt either.
Much Nekro
Such Heresy

Huh. I also saw this in there: <trafficdensity>0.50</trafficdensity>
Is that the amount of civilian traffic flying outside?
